Barcelona have agreed a deal with Rakuten for sponsorship on their shirts. The Chinese company will pay 34 million Euros for year up to the season 2020-21.
Rakuten, Japanese company of electronic commerce, will take the relief of Qatar Airways, sponsor of the FC Barcelona the last five seasons and the present one, after the extension for one year (until June, 2017).
Piqué was a very important piece for the agreement. The central was the person who began the contacts with Rakuten and the one who achieved that they were beginning the negotiations with the club.
In my opinion Rakuten is better than Qatar, because pay more money, and isn't from Qatar. Qatar is a sexist and exploitative country, and it's not good for the club.
